Just to wrap things up, this is how I see the regular season playing out.

Bold predictions to be true.
Picking the four teams from each division to make the playoffs was pretty easy, picking the order of the teams in the playoffs, was not.
In the Platinum division, the Sharks seem like they should be able to carry on from last year, so they were a fairly easy pick for first. The Stallions are rebuilding, so they were an easy pick for fourth.
The hard part was deciding between the Trouble and Oilers. The Oilers have the better forwards, the Trouble have the better defense. Even though the Oilers have the better forwards, you can only count points from six of them. For that reason I gave the nod to Trouble.
In the Premium division I believe all four teams are legitimate championship contenders.
Joe Hockey’s predictions are based on each team’s top 9 forwards and top 6 defensemen. With that in mind, balance between offense and defense rates highly in my predictions. The Blades have the best balance.
Having a dozen top forwards is great, but you can only count the points from six of them per game. However, having said that, by playing nine or more of those forwards per game it pretty much guarantees maximum points from each forward position. It also helps when someone gets injured or goes cold.
Based on just raw talent on each team, the Knights and Oilers would be fighting it out for the CDHL championship, no questions asked, but sometimes it is about the best team, not the best players.
I’m Joe Hockey, and that’s the way I see it.
ps After posting this, I see the chart did not come out very nice looking. Sorry about that.
