The Blades went through four lean years, while restocking the cupboard, but it paid off in the last two seasons with a first and second overall finish.
I expect them to again challenge for first overall.
The Blades forward group isn’t quite as talented as the Knights or Roadrunners, but it’s not far behind. What the Blades lack is that one true super star. No Ovechkin, no Stamkos.
What the Blades do have going for them is their defensive core. Letang is an established points getter on a high scoring team. Follow that up with highly rated youngsters Ekman-Larsson, Vlad Voynov, Kevin Shattenkirk, Justin Schultz, Jake Gardiner, Victor Hedman….. well , you get it. And here's the scary thing, that group of defensmen are all under 25 years of age.
Like the Knights, the Blades are a young team on the rise, so they should be a legitimate challenger for the cup for years to come.
Breakout Player: Jakob Silfverberg
Top Rookie: Mattias Tedenby
Season Prediction: 25 – 9 – 3 for 53 points, 1st Premier Divisiion. 1st overall.

Howdy Joe,
It is a brave and interesting thing that you are putting out there.
It gives all of us something to chew on.
With very little to lose, based on your prediction, I choose to differ.
Now, with Selanne coming back for another year I believe my chances are pretty good for making the playoffs.
Time is the teller of all tales eh?
Thanks for the thought fodder.
See you in the finals.
Doug
